He was having a rough time and watching how they comforted his concerns while I peeked from around the corner filled me with a rush of that feeling that's always hard to describe. You know, that one that's part mush and part awww and part whoa. Whoa that we get to teach them how to run with and bridle and experiment and understand all the different things going on inside their little minds. Awww because we know. We know what helps them realize things are ok. And mush because all parenting thoughts include a little bit of mush.
